New Faces in School of Social Work

We proudly welcome four new faculty members this fall:

Assistant Professor Tianca Crocker is a social worker who received her doctorate from the University of Texas at Austin, Texas in May 2018. Her research interests include social policy, economic mobility, digital inclusion, subjective well-being, measurement instrument design, and program evaluation.

Assistant Professor Travis Hales is a social worker who received his doctorate from the University of Buffalo, New York in May 2018. His research includes behavioral health service effectiveness, implementation science, and trauma-informed systems.

Clinical Assistant Professor and Field Placement Coordinator Frances Ferrante is a social worker who received her Master of Social Work from New York University, New York in May 2010. She has seven years of experience teaching clinical and administrative social work.

Clinical Assistant Professor and Field Director Ticola Ross is a social worker who received her doctorate in Applied Community Psychology from North Carolina State University in 2015 and her MSW from UNC Charlotte. Her areas of expertise include youth development, social justice, and healthy relationships.
